Why join?
The Casa Grande Daybreak Rotary Club was chartered August 21, 2006, and is grounded in a founding principle of Rotary; to meet periodically to enjoy camaraderie and enlarge one’s circle of business and professional acquaintances. As the oldest service club in the world, Rotary club members represent a cross-section of the people and professions of Casa Grande.
Club members have many opportunities to initiate and become involved with local and international humanitarian service. These opportunities can address concerns such as health care, hunger, poverty, illiteracy and the environment. Through involvement with service projects, Rotarians have a chance to experience one of Rotary’s highest objectives – building goodwill and peace throughout the world.
The 1.2 million members of the over 32,000 Rotary Clubs across the world also forge strong, enduring friendships, both local and international, as they join together to help address important humanitarian causes, truly demonstrating a motto of Rotary; Service Above Self.
Additionally, the Daybreak Rotary Club will support the work of Rotary through Paul Harris Fellowships, Polio Plus and will participate in other projects and functions at the district, national and international levels.
What is expected of members?
Active membership in Rotary means fully participating in the meetings, activities and projects of the club. Active membership also means being willing to accept positions of leadership within the club and district.. Additionally, by Rotary International rule, members must always participate in at least 50% of the club meetings. Additionally, Rotarians always have the privilege of making-up missed meetings by attending meetings of other Rotary Clubs.
When and where does the club meet?
The Casa Grande Daybreak Rotary Club meets on Wednesdays, at 7 a.m., at the Holiday Inn, 777 N. Pinal Avenue.
How can I become a member?
All prospective members are sponsored by current Daybreak members. To find out more about the club, please attend a club meeting and talk with the club members. If interested in becoming a member, complete the Membership Proposal Form with the assistance of your sponsoring member/Membership Chair and give the completed form to the Club Secretary. Following, the Executive Committee and then the Daybreak Rotary members will vote on your proposed membership. Afterwards, you are installed as a new member.
What can I expect to pay in dues?
Daybreak Rotary dues are $200 annually and include dues for Rotary International and Rotary District 5500, a subscription to the monthly Rotarian magazine. Meeting breakfast costs are optional and not included in club dues. For new members, there is an additional, one-time new member fee of $75.00.
